Please be advised that 177398 Canada Inc. dba. Advantage Services (the “Company”) made an assignment in bankruptcy on August 1, 2013. G. Powroznik Group Inc. of G-Force Group has been appointed as Trustee in bankruptcy (the “Trustee”). The assignment was made as it was clear the Company could not make a viable proposal to creditors after selling its assets (see background below).
The first meeting of creditors will be held on Tuesday August 20, 2013 at 1:00pm at the office of the Trustee. The Trustee sent by regular mail a creditor package to all known creditors of the Company during the week of August 5. The Trustee’s preliminary report to creditors dated August 19, 2013 is posted below in “Bankruptcy Documents”.
Notice of Intention – Background
On June 5, 2013, 177398 the Company filed a Notice of Intention (“NOI”) to make a proposal to its creditors pursuant to the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act. On July 3, 2013, the Company received an extension of the time for the filing of a proposal and extension of the stay of proceedings under the NOI to August 2, 2013.
On July 23, 2013, the Company was granted an Order from the Supreme Court of B.C. approving the sale of its assets to 0890461 B.C. Ltd. or its assignee.
